HUBweek - Coping with Climate Change: How Will Boston Adapt?

As part of HUBweek  Harvard's Center for the Environment hosted Coping with Climate Change: How Will Boston Adapt?  As part of the panel discussion Professor Alan Berger spoke to the role of resilient districting in Boston as an approach to tackling urban coastal flooding issues. Resilient districting consists of several phases that contribute to the development of a polynodal city: building protective structures around the most vulnerable critical infrastructure, creating a thick line of defense using existing infrastructure, down zoning in flood zones, and up zoning in protected areas.
