Francis Goyes

Francis is a girl with a boy's name. She grew up in Quito, Ecuador, where she studied Architecture for her undergraduate degree. Her professional work has been devoted to the confluence between the field of design and the critical need for equity and social justice in the world. Thus far, has collaborated in a variety of projects including the design of the first peacemaking center in the United States, a participatory housing initiative in the Guyana hinterland, and a community-designed master plan in northern India. At MIT, she is pursuing a Master of City planning, specializing in international development.
